PROCEDURE MARRYING WITH INDIAN CITIZEN (KASHMIRI) IN MALAYSIA

Aku dah melalui prosedur untuk berkahwin dengan warga luar di Malaysia. Disebabkan kekurangan info, aku memang stress masa tu. Husband datang jauh-jauh untuk buat proses ni tapi bila ada document yang tak cukup dia terpaksa balik India dan datang sini to complete the process. Therefore, aku nak share secara ringkas apa proses yang perlu dibuat.  

STEP NO. 1) GET SINGLE STATUS LETTER

Document pertama yang kena ready ialah Single Status Letter dari si bakal suami. Tujuan single status letter ini untuk memastikan si bakal suami adalah bujang dan belum pernah berkahwin. Single status letter requirement adalah seperti di bawah:

For single status, applicant must submit to submit single status certificate/bachelorhood certificate issued by  Tehsildar/Marriage Officer/District Magistrate/Village Officer/Block Officer or equivalent Officer (of applicants residential area in India) stating that applicant is unmarried/not re-married after divorce. Please note that Certificate of Bachelorhood/ Single-Status can be issued by the area Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) or District Magistrate or Court authorities (The area is to be determined as per the address mentioned in the applicant's passport). This certificate is required to be counter-attested by the Home Department of the State concerned.  Thereafter it should be submitted for attestation by Ministry of External Affairs Branch Secretariat at Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad or RPOs in Bangalore, Chandigarh, Goa, Mumbai and Trivandrum depending upon the area of your permanent residence in India or from Attestation Section/Apostille Cell, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi

Ini yang paling susah nak dapat. Husband aku ambil masa berbulan untuk dapat cop/stamp dari setiap department yg disebut di atas.

STEP NO. 2) GO TO BLS INTERNATIONAL

Setelah dapat Single Status Letter yg dah attest, sila pergi ke BLS INTERNATIONAL yang terletak berhampiran ChowKit untuk attest Single Status letter. 

Required document :

1. Dully filled EAP 2 Form (sila download dari website)
2. Unmarried certificate (single status letter) from Tahsildar or Executive Magistrate should be attested by Ministry of External Affairs and from the state authorities from where the certificate is been issued. If the certificate issue from Jammat then it should be attested from tahsildar prior to state and MEA authorities.
3. 1 Photograph of the applicant
4. 1 passport copy ( First Page , Last Page & Valid Visa Page )
5. IC copy of Malaysian wife/husband to be
6. Original passport of applicant
7. If Malaysian national getting married in India: Notary required on single status form and attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs

STEP NO. 3) GO TO MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MALAYSIA IN PUTRAJAYA

Bawa single status letter yang dah dapat attestment dari BLS untuk dapat endorsement dari Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). Dokumen lain yang diperlukan sila check di website.

STEP NO. 4) GO TO JABATAN IMIGRESEN MALAYSA

Sila pergi ke Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia untuk dapat Surat Pengesahan Pas bagi tujuan perkahwinan. Dokumen lain yang diperlukan sila check di website.

STEP NO. 5) GO TO PEJABAT AGAMA

Last step, sila pergi ke Pejabat Agama. Untuk apa? Untuk minta kebenaran menikah la..

Senaraikan dokumen yang diperlukan untuk warga negara luar

1) Passport yang masih sah

2) Visa yang masih sah

3) Surat Pengesahan Pas dari Jabatan Imigresen

4) Single status letter pemohon dan tiada halangan berkahwin dari kedutaan negara pemohon dan disahkan oleh Kementerian Luar Negeri (Wisma Putra)

5) Pengesahan Ujian Saringan HIV dari klinik kesihatan kerajaan

Dokumen untuk warganegara sama seperti prosedur biasa. Boleh check di pejabat agama.  Bila dah dapat kebenaran kahwin dari pejabat agama, bolehlah lansungkan pernikahan. Masa aku menikah dulu kami menikah di Pejabat Agama dan guna English sebab husband aku tak reti bahasa melayu.
